Christmas Single

“Kawawa ka naman at single ka ngayong pasko. Ilang taon ka nang ganyan. Kadate mo nanaman ang tatay mo”. This is the song which made me so crazy when my christmas vacation started. When I first heard it, I was laughing out loud because of its message. It was so silly! But behind those silly things the song wants to share, I was truly a little bit sad bacause I can relate with it.. I just laugh on it knowing that there is the newest and coolest group of single people this chritmas. It is the ‘Samahan ng Malalamig ang Pasko’ or more popular with its name, SMP.

I am thinking of things that will make me busy this christmas. Though I used to spend my previous christmas txting, chatting , calling, watching and playing, now I wanted to spend my time with meaningful,essential, and useful things. I am thinking that at least, this vacation will really open my eyes from the reality that the real essense of christmas is about seeking for the welfare of others and not only for myself.

My vacation was really really a very cool one. I already tried to find time with my family, friends, relatives and others. Since I was single this christmas, I finally realize that it is still better to be free. I enjoyed my vacation being a single lady.. And I find it very fine and good.

Now I just put in my mind that ‘single is not a status’. I’m getting silly again…haha!
